HOME INSPECTION REPORTS

HomeTown Inspection Team currently uses a bound “report book” type of reporting system. This system was chosen after considerable research into the many types of reports generated in the home inspection industry. Your report will contain hand written “anecdotal” commentary, supplied “common conditions” and if at all possible a verbal/visual property tour of conditions as they exist on the day of inspection.

There are many pages of bound resource materials included in your home inspection report. This material is intended to give you great detail on all of the various types of information contained in your report, and to help you learn to maintain the home that you have chosen to purchase.
If required we can provide copies of the report scanned as .pdf files.  These reports can be accessed online right here.

Just provide the requested information and access your pass- word protected report.

 IAQ (INDOOR AIR QUALITY) REPORTS

Indoor air quality reports are provided in written or digital (word file) versions after a thorough investigative inspection. Lab reports include a brief  “interpretive” commentary. Remediation recommendations are provided as per the CMHC guidelines and Health Canada’s guidelines.

**(Please note – HomeTown Inspection Team is not involved in remediation work of any kind. Professionals in this area must be consulted/hired after Indoor Air Quality testing).

ASBESTOS BEARING MATERIALS REPORTS

This is an umbrella term used to denote the presence of asbestos in various building materials. Most commonly insulation products are sent for lab testing in order to determine presence and level of contamination by asbestos. Flooring, siding and interior sheeting are just some of the building materials known to contain asbestos.
